Psychotherapy
Psychotherapy offers a reflective setting in which to explore your inner world and gain perspective. You don’t need to be in crisis or have a diagnosis to begin. Whether you’re hoping to understand yourself better or you’re struggling right now, you’re very welcome to get in touch.
Therapy can help you understand the impact of past experiences, including trauma, while focusing on how life feels now. In a confidential, supportive therapeutic relationship, you can express feelings, recognise long-standing patterns and explore change, with the aim of developing a deeper sense of yourself.
My approach is warm, active and collaborative. At the start, we clarify what feels difficult, how it affects you and the coping strategies you’ve been relying on, looking at both your current situation and past circumstances. Sessions can help with anxiety, low mood, stress, grief or relationship difficulties. We’ll draw on ideas from different schools of therapeutic thought, guided by our shared understanding of the change you want and the way of working that feels most useful to you.
I’ve worked with people from all walks of life, in private practice and in the NHS.
